Net outflow of Rs 412.23 crore on 20 November 2014
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 412.23 crore on Thursday, 20 November 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 228.46 crore on Wednesday, 19 November 2014.
The net outflow of Rs 412.23 crore on 20 November 2014 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3157.06 crore and gross sales of Rs 3569.29 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 412.14 crore from the secondary equity market on 20 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3156.58 crore and gross sales of Rs 3568.72 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex advanced 34.71 points or 0.12% to settle at 28,067.56 on that day, its highest closing level since 18 November 2014.
There was a net outflow of Rs 0.09 crore from the category 'primary market & others' on 20 November 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.48 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.57 crore.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 10777.81 crore in this month so far (till 20 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 10066.26 crore from the secondary markets in this month so far (till 20 November 2014). FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 1171.51 crore last month. They sold shares worth a net Rs 2010.97 crore from the secondary markets last month.
FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 93043.96 crore in this calendar year so far (till 20 November 2014). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 83537.40 crore from the secondary equity markets in this year so far (till 20 November 2014).
