Gateway Distriparks nudges higher on promoter's stake-hike

Gateway Distriparks was up 0.9% to Rs 200.85 at 11:49 IST on BSE after promoter Prem Kishan Gupta purchased 6 lakh shares of the company at Rs 198 per share in a bulk deal on the NSE yesterday, 21 February 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 92.95 points or 0.27% at 33,751.91. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index fell 0.07%, outperforming the Sensex.

On the BSE, 11,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against average daily volumes of 29,505 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 204.50 and a low of Rs 197.75 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 292 on 6 July 2017 and a 52-week low of Rs 192 on 19 February 2018.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 21 February 2018, sliding 15.6% compared with the Sensex's 4.69% fall. The stock had also underperformed the market over the past one quarter, declining 24.44% as against the Sensex's 1.09% rise. The scrip had also underperformed the market over the past one year, sliding 20.71% as against the Sensex's 17.67% rise.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 108.73 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Prem Kishan Dass Gupta held 0.76% stake in Gateway Distriparks end December 2017.
