Gayatri Projects advances after large bulk deal

Gayatri Projects gained 3.37% to Rs 216.55 at 14:15 IST on BSE after a large bulk deal of 76.14 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 215.90 per share in opening trade on BSE.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 32.45 points or 0.09% at 34,535.94. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index was down 48.57 points or 0.27% at 18,119.20.

Bulk deal boosted volume on the counter. On the BSE, 1.38 crore shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 1.34 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 222.25 and a low of Rs 211.95 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 237.55 on 2 January 2018. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 124.60 on 30 January 2017.

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 35.45 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

Gayatri Projects' net profit jumped 104% to Rs 23.71 crore on 20.9% rise in net sales to Rs 423.18 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.
