Gayatri Projects tumbled 7.76% to Rs 53.50 at 11:20 IST on BSE after net profit fell 89.41% to Rs 1.62 crore on 11.43% decline in total income from operations to Rs 421.60 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.
The Q3 result was announced after market hours on Friday, 14 February 2014.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 23.43 points or 0.12% at 20,390.25.
On BSE, so far 11,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 28,283 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 56.10 and a low of Rs 53 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 47.50 on 21 August 2013. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 95 on 25 February 2013.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 14 February 2014, sliding 13.24% compared with the Sensex's 3.17% fall. The scrip had, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, advancing 5.65% as against Sensex's 0.16% fall.
