GE Power India jumped 3.23% to Rs 491.75 after the company was awarded a contract by NTPC for its Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Project
GE Power India in an exchange filing after market hours yesterday announced that it was awarded a Rs 690 crore contract by NTPC for supplying and installing Wet FGD systems with common absorber.
The company said this is the first time that it was awarded a project to install common absorber for a combination of multiple boiler units.
The project located in Unchahar, Uttar Pradesh intends to remove SO2 from flue gas generated by coal fired boilers. This is in order to comply to with new environmental emission norms issued.
GE Power India is engaged in engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and servicing etc. of power plants and power equipment.
