GNFC rises as TDI-II plant resumes production

GNFC rose 0.70% to Rs 100.20 after the company said that TDI-II plant at Dahej in Gujarat has resumed its normal production after completion of scheduled maintenance.

Earlier, the company had announced planned shutdown TDI (Toluene Di-Isocyanate)-II plant at Dahej for scheduled maintenance from 27 December 2019 to 15 January 2020.

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals (GNFC)'s consolidated net profit dropped 32.5% to Rs 113.49 crore on a 4.8% rise in net sales to Rs 1,277.66 crore in Q3 December 2019 over Q3 December 2018.

GNFC is a joint sector enterprise promoted by the Government of Gujarat and the Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC). The company has extended its profile much beyond fertilizers through a process of horizontal integration. Chemicals/petrochemicals, energy sector, electronics/telecommunications and information technology form ambitious and challenging additions to its corporate portfolio.
