Godrej Consumer Products rose 2.71% to Rs 1,289.15 at 13:10 IST on BSE after the consolidated net profit rose 22.44% to Rs 287.16 crore on 8.08% rise in total income to Rs 2264.02 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.
The result was announced on Saturday, 24 October 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 61.04 points or 0.22% at 27,409.77.
On BSE, so far 12,252 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 49,011 shares in the past two weeks.
The stock hit a high of Rs 1,298.90 and a low of Rs 1,265.20 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 1,456.65 on 3 August 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 830 on 16 December 2014.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 23 October 2015, rising 7.54% compared with 6.38% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 1.89% as against Sensex's 3.17% decline.

Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL)'s consolidated organic constant currency net sales increased by 12% in Q2 September 2015. India business branded net sales increased by 10%, driven by a 9% volume growth; double-digit volume growth in household insecticides, hair colours and mid-single digit volume growth in soaps. International business grew by 15% on an organic constant currency basis.
The consolidated organic constant currency EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) increased by 22% in Q2 September 2015, driven by a 15% growth in the India business and 35% growth in the international business.
The consolidated net profit without exceptional and one-off item increased by 37%. GCPL continues to deliver competitive performance in its core categories, across geographies.
The board of directors declared an interim dividend of Re 1 per share for the year ending 31 March 2016 (FY 2016).
GCPL is a FMCG firm. The company's products include hair colour, household insecticides, liquid detergents and soaps.
