HCL Technologies rose 0.33% to Rs 1,906.45 at 10:10 IST on BSE after the company announced opening of global delivery centres at Oslo and Frisco.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 58.72 points, or 0.2%, to 29,031.82.
On BSE, so far 7,354 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 30,438 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock of large-cap IT firm hit a high of Rs 1,908.30 and a low of Rs 1,884.90 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 1,912.40 on 3 February 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 1,257 on 19 May 2014.
HCL Technologies announced before market hours, opening of its newest global delivery center in the US Located at 2401 Internet Boulevard, the Frisco center is being inaugurated on 3 February 2015 by the Mayor of Frisco, Maher Maso. The opening of the facility will initially bring 300 local jobs to the Frisco community and offers space for an additional future 200 employees.
The Frisco center complements HCL's US network of global delivery centers, which created more than 1,500 jobs in the US in 2014. It also reinforces HCL's differentiated, multi-tiered global delivery model comprising onshore, offshore and near-shore capabilities offering measureable business impact, joint innovation and real-time collaboration with clients worldwide.
HCL strategically chose Frisco for its new center location as the region offers a highly skilled talent pool to help the company meet current and future business needs. Additionally, several of the top-ranked universities in Texas have developed highly regarded computer science programs, further expanding the availability of local qualified graduates in IT-related fields. As part of its larger US strategy to accelerate technology innovation and provide nearshore capabilities to clients across the country, HCL will make a significant and sustained investment in the Frisco facility. The company's strong technology services portfolio, growing client base and robust system integration capabilities will enable the center to gradually become a Center of Excellence for next-generation system integration services.

Separately, the company announced after market hours yesterday, 3 February 2015, the opening of a new service delivery centre in Oslo, to support its ongoing growth in the Nordics. The new centre will enhance HCL's delivery capabilities and serve as a hub to provide transformational IT infrastructure and application services to its customers in the region. This is HCL's third delivery centre in the Nordics besides Espoo (Finland) and Stavanger (Norway). Located in the heart of Oslo's BARCODE business area, the new centre will support more than 100 seats.
Meanwhile, shares of HCL Technologies turned ex-dividend today, 4 February 2015 for an interim dividend of Rs 8 per share for the year ending 30 June 2015 (FY 2015).
