Hero MotoCorp fell 0.58% to Rs 1,955.95 at 11:53 IST on BSE, with the stock extending Thursday's 0.21% fall triggered by the company reporting decline in July sales.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 169.30 points or 0.98% to 17,055.06.
On BSE, 11,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 52,142 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 1,974.20 and a low of Rs 1,951 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 1,702.65 on 9 January 2012. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 2,278.50 on 2 May 2012.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 2 August 2012, falling 6.95% compared with the Sensex's 1% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, sliding 12.37% as against Sensex's 0.45% fall.
India's largest bike maker by sales has equity capital of Rs 39.94 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

HMCL's net profit rose 10.3% to Rs 615.46 crore on 10.1% growth in net sales to Rs 6207.78 crore in Q1 June 2012 over Q1 June 2011.
