Hero MotoCorp rose 1.13% to Rs 2,053.10 at 13:59 IST on BSE after the company reported 3.64% rise in total sales to 4.59 lakh units in August 2013 over August 2012.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 244.83 points, or 1.31%, to 18,864.55
On BSE, 46,000 shares were traded in the counter compared with average volume of 45,600 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 2,088 and a low of Rs 2,020 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 2,059 on 30 August 2013. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 1,434.05 on 15 April 2013.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 30 August 2013, rising 9.88% compared with the Sensex's 3.77% decline. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 15.85% as against Sensex's 7.89% fall.
India's largest two-wheeler maker by sales has equity capital of Rs 39.94 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
