Hong Kong Hang Seng jumps 0.7%
Capital MarketHong Kong stock market closed higher Monday, 28 May 2018, on optimism that the historic summit meeting between United States and North Korea may be back on track after President Donald Trump had said on Sunday a US team had arrived in North Korea to prepare for a proposed summit between him and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, which Trump pulled out of last week before reconsidering. The Hang Seng Index gained 204.22 points, or 0.7%, to 30,792.26 at the close. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, also known as the H-share gauge, added 0.6%. Turnover decreased slightly to HK$84.4 billion from HK$93.6 billion on Friday.
