Hong Kong market slide on disappointing China PMI
Capital Market Hong Kong stock market ended down on Wednesday, 23 September 2015, as risk sentiments hit by falls in global markets and weak China factory activity data. The benchmark Hang Seng Index (HSI) opened down 267 points and saw its losses widen to nearly 800 points at one stage. The Hang Seng Index declined 493.67 points, or 2.26%, at 21302.91 points. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, benchmark measure of performance of mainland China enterprises, lost 265.14 points, or 2.7%, to 9570.25 points. Turnover soared to HK$92.6 billion from HK$74.4 billion on Tuesday.
