Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10735, a premium of 17.20 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10717.80 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 5.49 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 3.69 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 2.30 points or 0.02% to settle at 10,717.80.
ICICI Bank, Jubilant Foodworks, State Bank of India, PC Jeweller and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. ICICI Bank May 2018 futures traded at 307.25, at a discount over spot closing price of 308.50. Jubilant Foodworks May 2018 futures traded at 2569.15, at a premium over spot closing price of 2555.95. State Bank of India May 2018 futures traded at 250.50, at a premium over spot closing price of 250.30. PC Jeweller May 2018 futures traded at 201.50, at a premium over spot closing price of 200.50. HDFC Bank May 2018 futures traded at 1960.35, at a discount over spot closing price of 1966.50.
The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.
