Crude oil output of private/JV companies plunged 13.3% at 0.866 mt in August 2014
India's crude oil production dipped 4.9% to 3.024 million tonnes (mt) in August 2014, posting sharpest decline in last three-years. The crude oil output of private/JV companies plunged 13.3% at 0.866 mt, while that of ONGC fell 0.7% to 1.86 mt. ONGC's offshore output increased 3.7% to 1.352 mt, but onshore production continued to dip 10.8% to 0.508 mt. The crude oil production of Oil India declined 3% to 0.298 mt in August 2014.The crude oil output has declined 1.3% to 15.56 mt during April-August FY2015, in addition to 1.6% fall in April-August FY2014. Output of ONGC and Oil India declined 0.8% to 9.253 mt and 4.8% to 1.429 mt, while that of private companies improved also fell 1% to 4.875 mt in April-August FY2015.
