Among the other constituents of the index, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd decreased 1.67% and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd lost 1.64% on the day. The S&P BSE Oil&Gas index went up 6.87 % over last one year compared to the 8.92% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
