Indian Railways and Republic of Korea Sign MoU on Technical Cooperation in the Rail Sector

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed in Seoul on 17 November 2014 between the Ministry of Railways, Government of India and the Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) of the Government of Republic of Korea (South Korea). The MoU on Technical Cooperation in the Rail sector was signed in Seoul by Shri Arunendra Kumar, Chairman, Railway Board from the Indian side and Mr. Yeo Hyung Koo, Vice Minister, MOLIT from the South Korean side.

The MoU would enable technical assistance and cooperation between the Railways of the two countries on areas such as High Speed Rail, Modernisation of Rolling Stock, Railway Operations, Modernisation of Signalling, Construction & Maintenance technologies and in development of Logistics Parks/Terminals.
