Indraprastha Gas slips on profit booking

Indraprastha Gas lost 1.52% to Rs 422 at 13:30 IST on BSE, with the stock sliding on profit booking after recent rally.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 28.43 points or 0.1% at 27,673.58

On BSE, so far 23,847 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 35,108 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 435.75 and a low of Rs 419.50 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 488.30 on 22 January 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 340 on 9 July 2014.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 29 June 2015, rising 5.58% compared with 0.66% fall in the Sensex. The scrip also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 3.84% as against Sensex's 0.68% gain.

The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 140 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Shares of Indraprastha Gas had advanced 8.94% in four trading sessions to settle at Rs 428.50 on 29 June 2015 from a recent low of Rs 393.30 on 23 June 2015.

Indraprastha Gas' net profit rose 6% to Rs 95.88 crore on 5.3% decline in net sales to Rs 912.91 crore in Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014.

Indraprastha Gas is the sole supplier of CNG and PNG in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
