Public confidence in Indian Democracy has increased in past 10 months
India Inc. and Government should become partners in growth and development of rural poor, Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Prof. (Dr.) Ram Shankar Katheria said at an ASSOCHAM event.There are lakhs of unemployed graduates including those who have pursued various professional courses like M.Tech, M.Sc and others and the industry together with active support of the Government should show them path to growth and development, said the Union Minister while inaugurating the 'National Education Summit,' organised by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).
There is no dearth of knowledge amid youth in India's rural and tribal areas but they have to face various obstacles due deficient infrastructure and lack of both Government and industry support, said Mr Katheria.
The industry should explore the possibilities of improving the lives of rural people through research and innovation initiatives he added.
The Government and the industry need to work in tandem to lift up the deprived rural youth whose talent has no value today, further said Mr Katheria.
Talking about the various steps taken by the Union Government in first 10 months of its formation, the HRD Minister said, Governance system established under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in past 10 months has not only restored but also boosted public confidence in Indian democracy which had been eroding during the previous Government's regime.
