Power generation firm Jaiprakash Power Ventures soared 30.24% to Rs 23.73 after the company said its board at a meeting held on Saturday, 17 May 2014, approved seeking shareholders' nod for raising funds upto Rs 3000 crore. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.
Meanwhile, Jaiprakash Power Ventures reported a net loss of Rs 171.98 crore in Q4 March 2014, higher than net loss of Rs 122.26 crore in Q4 March 2013. Total income rose 19.24% to Rs 459.03 crore in Q4 March 2014 over Q4 March 2013. The result was announced before market hours today, 19 May 2014.
State-owned trading firm MMTC surged 19.97% to Rs 74.20. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company will announce Q4 results on 29 May 2014.
Wind turbines maker Suzlon Energy spurted 19.81% to Rs 17.48. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 17.50 in intraday today.
Infrastructure company Jaypee Infratech climbed 19.07% to Rs 35.90. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company will announce Q4 results on 26 May 2014.
