Japan share market finished session higher on Thursday, 17 May 2018, echoing gains seen in Wall Street overnight. Meanwhile buying appetite supported further by purchases of mainstay issues apparently by institutional investors both in and outside Japan, Mot of TS issues inclined, with financial stocks leading gains on an increase in US bond yields while tech shares attracted buyers as the yen weakened against greenback. The 225-issue Nikkei average gained 121.14 points, or 0.53%, to close at 22,838.37. The Topix index of all first-section issues added 8.02 points, or 0.45%, to close at 1,808.37.
