Japan Nikkei gains on solid U.S. data, weaker yen
Capital MarketJapan share market finished session higher on Wednesday, 06 June 2018, as positivity from gains on Wall Street overnight on solid U.S. non-manufacturing activity data outweighed caution over the simmering US-China trade dispute and Italy's debt and European political turbulence. Among TSE33 issues, oil and coal product, mining, and pulp and paper-oriented issues comprised those that gained the most by the close of play. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 86.19 points, or 0.38%, to close at 22,625.73. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 2.63 points, or 0.15%, to finish at 1,777.59.
