Jindal Steel & Power Ltd gained 3.57% today to trade at Rs 412.25. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 1.79% to quote at 18862.77. The index is up 16.75 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, National Aluminium Company Ltd increased 2.53% and Vedanta Ltd added 1.98% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 204.59 % over last one year compared to the 65.89% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
Jindal Steel & Power Ltd has lost 5.61% over last one month compared to 16.75% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 6.27% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1.27 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 11.49 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 501.6 on 10 May 2021. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 86.9 on 18 May 2020.
