JSW Steel standalone net profit rises 97.21% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales decline 13.21% to Rs 9361.06 crore

Net profit of JSW Steel rose 97.21% to Rs 372.19 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 188.73 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales declined 13.21% to Rs 9361.06 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 10785.35 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net loss reported to Rs 3498.28 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against net profit of Rs 2166.48 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales declined 20.17% to Rs 36202.44 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 45351.52 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
