Kalpataru Power advances after new orders win

Kalpataru Power Transmission gained 1.79% to Rs 471.65 at 13:14 IST on BSE after the company announced that it has secured new orders/notification of award of Rs 901 crore.

The announcement was made during market hours today, 27 March 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 105.68 points, or 0.32% to 33,172.09. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index was up 179.73 points, or 1.13% to 16,060.46.

On the BSE, 2,364 shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 6,305 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 471.65 and a low of Rs 463.60 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 535.95 on 12 January 2016. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 280.15 on 27 March 2017.

Kalpataru Power Transmission said that the company has secured new orders/ notification of award of Rs 901 crore. The compny won a turnkey order of Rs 643 crore for construction of 765 kV D/C transmission lines in Tamil Nadu from TANTRANSCO.

Another order is for design, supply, erection, testing & commissioning for railway electrification, including OHE and TSS works for Rs 195 crore from CORE. The company also won orders from PGCIL & SEBs for GIS substation and transmission line of Rs 64 crore.

Manish Mohnot, Managing Director & CEO, Kalpataru Power Transmission said that the company has received orders of approx. Rs 9350 crore in the current financial year 2017-18, which is a growth of 50% compared to last financial year 2016-17. Current year order inflow has been consistent across all sectors namely transmission & substation, pipeline and railways.

Net profit of Kalpataru Power Transmission rose 31.66% to Rs 75.23 crore on 25.59% rise in net sales to Rs 1417.37 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.
