KNR Constructions surged 5.54% to Rs 223.80 at 09:21 IST on BSE after the company's joint venture bagged an order worth Rs 884.47 crore from Government of Telangana.
The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 21 September 2017.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 171.30 points, or 0.53%, to 32,198.74. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 98.98 points, or 0.59%, to 16,685.84.
On BSE, so far 52,000 shares were traded in the counter, compared with average daily volume of 19,076 shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 237.40 so far during the day, which is also a record high for the counter. The stock hit a low of Rs 219 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 125 on 9 November 2016.
The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 28.12 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
KNR Constructions announced that KNR-HES-ACPL joint venture has bagged order worth of Rs 884.47 crore towards formation of Konda Pochamma Sagar for a capacity of 15.00 TMC near Pamulaparthi (v), Markook(M), Siddipet District - reach - 1 from Km 0.000 to Km 5.500 with all associated components in Telangana to be completed within a period of 18 months from the appointed date.
KNR Constructions' net profit jumped 123.73% to Rs 67.59 crore on 58.57% growth in net sales to Rs 480.75 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2016.
