Larsen & Toubro has announced that the heavy civil infrastructure business of L&T Construction has won a prestigious US $740 million (approx. Rs 4510 crore) order from Qatar Railways Company for the design and construction of the Gold Line of the Doha Metro Project in Qatar.The order has been won along with its joint venture partners, Aktor (Greece), Yapi Merkezi Insaat (Turkey) and Al Jaber Engineering (Qatar).
The total value of the order for the joint venture is US $3.3 billion (approx. Rs 20000 crore)
