Lanco Infratech extends recent steep rally

Lanco Infratech surged 4.23% to Rs 7.89 at 14:16 IST on BSE, with the stock extending recent steep rally triggered by the company's board securing the lenders' nod for corporate debt restructuring.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 127.55 points or 0.61% at 21,202.14.

On BSE, so far 28.84 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 11.27 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 8.08 and a low of Rs 7.63 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 15.22 on 9 January 2013. The stock had hit a record low of Rs 4.96 on 31 July 2013.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 26 December 2013, advancing 30.29% compared with the Sensex's 3.18% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, surging 35.91% as against Sensex's 5.94% rise.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 240.78 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.
