Lupin gains and Tata Power declines after former replaces latter in Sensex

Shares of Lupin rose 1.41% at Rs 1,760.05 and Tata Power Company fell 0.99% to Rs 75 at 10:00 IST on BSE after the BSE said the former will replace latter as a constituent in the 30-share S&P BSE Sensex index with effect from 22 June 2015

The BSE said after market hours on Friday, 22 May 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 128.33 points or 0.46% at 27,829.17.

Shares of Lupin rose 1.41% to Rs 1,760.05. The stock hit a high of Rs 1,768.60 and a low of Rs 1,750 so far during the day.

Shares of pharma company had underperformed the market over the past one month till 22 May 2015, falling 0.82% compared with Sensex's 0.24% rise. The scrip had however outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 2.64% as against Sensex's 4.36% fall.

Shares of Tata Power Company fell 0.99% to Rs 75. The stock hit a high of Rs 75.75 and a low of Rs 74.80 so far during the day.

Shares of integrated power company had underperformed the market over the past one month till 22 May 2015, falling 3.81% compared with Sensex's 0.24% rise. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 11.87% as against Sensex's 4.36% fall.
