Mercator fell 2.46% to Rs 23.70 at 12:18 IST on BSE on profit booking after the stock rose 7.51% in the preceding two trading sessions to Rs 24.35 yesterday, 14 October 2015, from a recent low of Rs 22.65 on 12 October 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 224.76 points, or 0.84%, to 27,004.42.
On BSE, so far 2.46 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 6.29 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 24.55 and a low of Rs 23.25 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 33.15 on 19 November 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 14.55 on 3 June 2015.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 14 October 2015, rising 14.86% compared with 3.57% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 23.92% as against Sensex's 4.13% decline.
The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 24.49 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.
