Mindteck (India) gains after winning state government contract

Mindteck (India) rose 2.87% to Rs 182.80 at 11:37 IST on BSE after the company said its consortium won a state government contract.

The announcement was made during trading hours today, 4 December 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 206.33 points, or 0.80%, to 25,680.29.

On BSE, so far 30,000 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 91,608 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 185 and a low of Rs 175 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 194 on 30 November 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 54 on 7 September 2015.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 3 December 2015, rising 46.98% compared with 2.65% decline in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 188.47% as against Sensex's 0.47% rise.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 25.14 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Mindteck (India) announced that it has won a prestigious state government contract, along with two other technology companies. The consortium will integrate various Nagar Parishads under one platform to enable the implementation of eNagarpalika.

In tandem with the other two consortium partners, Mindteck will implement the complete portal and will work with the government to deploy technical resources. The project, which is in line with the Government of India's digital and smart city initiatives, will enable the delivery of government services integrated with various Zila Parishads under one platform. It will benefit citizens by enabling easy access to services, such as birth and death certificates, building approval permissions, property tax and other government-related documents and services, the company said.

On consolidated basis, Mindteck (India)'s net profit rose 69.2% to Rs 8.46 crore on 2.08% decline in net sales to Rs 78.52 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q1 June 2015.
