Motherson Sumi Systems drops after bulk deal

Motherson Sumi Systems lost 2.19% to Rs 368.45 at 15:01 IST on BSE after a bulk deal of 20 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 374.55 per share at 14:01 IST on BSE.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 215.73 points, or 0.65% to 33,012.26.

Bulk deal boosted volume on the scrip. On the BSE, 26.41 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 3.60 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 380 and a low of Rs 367.20 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 385.85 on 12 December 2017. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 201.83 on 26 December 2016.

The large-cap company has equity capital of Rs 210.53 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

Motherson Sumi Systems' consolidated net profit rose 24.4% to Rs 596.90 crore on 32.5% increase in total income to Rs 13487.36 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016.
