Turnover on NSE's F&O segment surges
The Nifty July 2018 futures traded at 11,015.50, a discount of 7.70 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 11,023.20 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 17.06 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 7.90 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 74.90 points or 0.68% to settle at 11,023.20.
Reliance Industries, TCS and Infosys were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
Reliance Industries July 2018 futures traded at 1,077.60, at a discount over spot closing price of 1,080.90. TCS July 2018 futures traded at 1,977.50, at a premium over spot closing price of 1973. Infosys July 2018 futures traded at 1,300.90, at a premium over spot closing price of 1295.
The July 2018 F&O contracts will expire on 26 July 2018.
