Turnover on NSE's F&O segment jumps
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10,613, a discount of 1.35 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10,614.35 in the cash market. The Nifty June 2018 futures traded at 10,626.40, a premium of 12.05 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10,614.35 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 13.59 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 10 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 18.95 points or 0.18% to settle at 10,614.35.
HDFC Bank, Jubilant FoodWorks and SBI were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. HDFC Bank May 2018 futures traded at 2035.50, at a discount over spot closing price of 2050.50. Jubilant FoodWorks May 2018 futures traded at 2511.50, at a discount over spot closing price of 2514. SBI May 2018 futures traded at 266.75, at a discount over spot closing price of 266.95.
The May 2018 F&O contracts expire tomorrow, 31 May 2018.
