Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10541.85, a premium of 25.15 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10516.70 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 6.35 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 5.32 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 79.70 points or 0.75% to settle at 10,516.70.
Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Finance and State Bank of India were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Ashok Leyland May 2018 futures traded at 134.10, at a premium over spot closing price of 133.75. Bajaj Finance May 2018 futures traded at 2126, at a premium over spot closing price of 2114.90. State Bank of India May 2018 futures traded at 244.75, at a premium over spot closing price of 244.50.
The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.
