Turnover on NSE's F&O segment spurts
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10,693, a premium of 10.30 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10,682.70 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 14.32 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 11.06 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 58.40 points or 0.54% to settle at 10,682.70.
Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel and Escorts were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Bajaj Finance May 2018 futures traded at 2070.25, at a premium over spot closing price of 2067.95.
Tata Steel May 2018 futures traded at 612.40, at a premium over spot closing price of 610.30. Escorts May 2018 futures traded at 959.90, at a premium over spot closing price of 953.40.
