Turnover on NSE's F&O segment increases
The Nifty November 2016 futures traded at 8519.30, a premium of 34.35 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 8484.95 in the cash market. The December 2016 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 8572, a premium of 87.05 points compared with the Nifty's closing in the cash market. Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 5.20 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 3.53 lakh crore registered yesterday, 2 November 2016.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 29.05 points or 0.34% to settle at 8,484.95, its lowest level since 11 July 2016.
Vedanta, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, Tata Motors and State Bank of India were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Vedanta November 2016 futures traded at 218, at a discount over spot closing of 218.60. Tata Steel November 2016 futures traded at 405.90, at a premium over spot closing of 404.30. Hindalco Industries November 2016 futures traded at 163.10, at a premium over spot closing of 163.
Tata Motors November 2016 futures traded at 510.70, at a premium over spot closing of 509.25. State Bank of India November 2016 futures traded at 246.75, at a premium over spot closing of 245.55.
The November 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 24 November 2016.
