Turnover jumps
Nifty October 2013 futures were at 6108, at a premium of 18.95 points over spot closing of 6089.05. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment jumped to Rs 144044.61 crore from Rs 94380.97 crore on Monday, 14 October 2013.
TCS October 2013 futures were at 2223, near spot closing of 2216.
State Bank of India October 2013 futures were at 1616.05, near spot closing of 1612.90.
Hindalco Industries October 2013 futures were at 113.45, at a premium compared with spot closing of 112.50.
In the spot market, the CNX Nifty fell 23.65 points or 0.39% to settle at 6,089.05, its lowest closing level since 10 October 2013.
The October 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 31 October 2013.
