Turnover rises
Nifty October 2014 futures were at 7984.20, a premium of 23.65 points over spot closing of 7960.55. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 193732.79 crore from Rs 163471.82 crore on Wednesday, 8 October 2014.
Infosys October 2014 futures were at 3655.15, at a discount compared to spot closing of 3661.
State Bank of India October 2014 futures were at 2488, at a premium over spot closing of 2477.
Tata Steel October 2014 futures were at 467.95, at a premium over spot closing of 465.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty surged 117.85 points or 1.5% to settle at 7,960.55, its highest closing level since 30 September 2014.
The October 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 30 October 2014.
