Turnover surges
The Nifty September 2019 futures was at 10,880, a premium of 35.35 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 10,844.65 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 15.02 lakh crore compared with Rs 9.31 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 46.75 points or 0.43% to settle at 10,844.65.
Reliance Industries (RIL), SBI and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. RIL September 2019 futures were at 1,209.80, compared with spot closing price of 1202.40. SBI September 2019 futures were at 276.15 compared with spot closing price of 274.80. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries September 2019 futures were at 426.70, compared with spot closing price of 426.
The September 2019 F&O contracts expires on 26 September 2019.
