Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The Nifty September 2017 futures traded at 9,975.20, a small premium of 10.80 points over Nifty's spot closing of 9,964.40 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment slumped to Rs 6.99 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 11.6 lakh crore registered yesterday, 21 September 2017.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index slumped 157.50 points or 1.56% to settle at 9,964.40, its lowest closing level since 8 September 2017.
Tata Steel, Divi's Laboratories, Reliance Capital, Vedanta and HDFC Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
Tata Steel September 2017 futures traded at 655, at a premium compared with spot closing of 654.40. Divi's Laboratories September 2017 futures traded at 969, at a premium compared with spot closing of 966.70.
