Nikkei ends below 20K level
Capital Market The Japan share market finished session lower on Tuesday, 18 July 2017, as investor sentiment was dented by the yen's appreciation against the U.S. dollar. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 118.95 points, or 0.59%, from Friday at 19,999.91, the lowest close since July 7. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 5.00 points, or 0.31%, lower at 1,620.48. Japan markets were closed for Marine Day on Monday, 17 July 2017.
