Nikkei ends down on BOJ inaction
Capital Market Japan share market ended down on Tuesday, 15 March 2016, as investors took profits after Bank of Japan has kept monetary policy steady and amid caution ahead of the two-day US Federal Reserve monetary policy meeting. Notable decliners comprised insurance, banking, and mining-linked shares. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average declined 116.68 points, or 0.68%, to end at 17117.07. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange dropped 7.87 points, or 0.57%, to close at 1372.08.
