NSE India VIX declines for 6th consecutive day

Yes Bank, State Bank of India, InterGlobe Aviation top traded futures contracts on NSE.

The Nifty July 2019 futures was at 11,658.8 a discount of 2.25 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 11,661.05 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 8.74 lakh crore compared with Rs 7.72 lakh crore reported in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 72.70 points or 0.63% to settle at 11,661.05.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 3.24% at 11.63. NSE's India VIX continued its decline for sixth consecutive session.

On the options front, the Nifty option chain for 25 July 2019 expiry showed maximum call open interest (OI) of 32.22 lakh contracts at the 12,000 strike price. Maximum put OI of 23.70 lakh contracts was seen at 11,300 strike price. Options data suggested a trading range between 11,300 and 12,000 levels for the Nifty.

Yes Bank July 2019 futures were at 106.4, compared with spot closing price of 106.25. State Bank of India July 2019 futures were at 363.9, compared with spot closing price of 363.95. InterGlobe Aviation July 2019 futures were at 1436, compared with spot closing price of 1440.3.

The July 2019 F&O contracts expire on 25 July 2019.
