Orient Cement standalone net profit declines 77.29% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales rise 15.45% to Rs 447.28 crore

Net profit of Orient Cement declined 77.29% to Rs 19.41 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 85.48 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales rose 15.45% to Rs 447.28 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 387.42 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net profit declined 68.05% to Rs 62.24 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 194.78 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales declined 2.18% to Rs 1501.84 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 1535.34 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
