PNC Infratech rose 4.96% to Rs 142.80 at 15:07 IST on BSE after the company said it won a road contract worth Rs 2159 crore.
The announcement was made on Saturday, 30 September 2017.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 231.76 points, or 0.74% to 31,515.48.
On the BSE, 89,000 shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 18,000 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 152 and a low of Rs 142 so far during the day.
PNC Infratech said it was declared the L1 (lowest) bidder for the project of 145 km long six laning of Chakeri to Allahabad section of National Highway (NH) - 2 in Uttar Pradesh under National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase-V to be executed on hybrid annuity mode for a bid project cost of Rs 2159 crore.
Net profit of PNC Infratech declined 53.4% to Rs 29.81 crore on 30.7% decline in net sales to Rs 356.65 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2016.
