Pratibha Industries slumped 4.88% to Rs 48.75 at 11:19 IST on BSE on reports that ratings agency CRISIL downgraded the company's credit rating on both its short and long-term loans.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 40.12 points or 0.14% at 28,403.89.
On BSE, so far 2.86 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 1.04 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 50.10 and a low of Rs 46.25 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 22.20 on 20 December 2013. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 66.70 on 7 July 2014.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 2 December 2014, sliding 3.03% compared with the Sensex's 2.07% rise. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 8.73% as against Sensex's 5.27% rise.
The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 20.21 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
