Reliance Naval sinks after dismal Q4 earnings

Reliance Naval and Engineering lost 5.74% to Rs 25.45 at 10:18 IST on BSE after the company reported net loss of Rs 408.68 crore in Q4 March 2018, higher than net loss of Rs 139.92 crore in Q4 March 2017.

Total income dropped 86.13% to Rs 34.76 crore in Q4 March 2018 over Q4 March 2017. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 23 April 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 121.19 points or 0.35% at 34,571.96.

On the BSE, 8.11 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against average daily volumes of 4.86 lakh shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 25.95 and a low of Rs 24.55 so far during the day.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 737.59 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Reliance Naval and Engineering has a large ship building/repair infrastructure in India. It has one of the largest dry docks in the world.
