Water stock in 85 major reservoirs monitored by Central Water Commission increased to 119.785 billion cubic meters (bcm) as on 11 September 2014 from 110.52 bcm a week ago on 04 September 2014.

The storage level was below last year's storage level of 128.732 bcm. However, it was above last 10-years average storage of 111.302 bcm.

The live water storage is 93% of the last year's storage and 108% of the average of last ten years, while it is 77% of the storage capacity at full reservoir level.

There were 72 reservoirs having storage more than 80% of normal storage. However, about 12 reservoirs had storage between 50% and 80% of normal storage, while 2 reservoirs reported storage of 28-30% of normal storage.
