Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The Nifty March 2018 futures traded at 10158.95, at a premium of 34.60 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10124.35 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 6.44 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 6.25 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 30.10 points or 0.3% to settle at 10,124.35, its highest closing level since 16 March 2018.
Tata Steel, Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL), Reliance Industries (RIL), State Bank of India (SBI) and NIIT Technologies were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Tata Steel March 2018 futures traded at 596.55, at a premium over spot closing of 594.35. JSPL March 2018 futures traded at 234, near spot closing of 233.50.
RIL March 2018 futures traded at 894.60, at a premium over spot closing of 892. SBI March 2018 futures traded at 250.70, near spot closing of 250. NIIT Technologies March 2018 futures traded at 922.50, at a premium over spot closing of 920.
