Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores jumped 5.04% to Rs 1,089.05 at 11:35 IST on BSE after the company announced that manganese ore annual production in mining lease has been increased as approved by Central Empowered Committee.
The announcement was made after market hours on Friday, 23 March 2018.Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 7.32 points, or 0.02%, to 32,603.86. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 72.78 points or 0.43% to 16,728.40.
On the BSE, 6,828 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 5,522 shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a high of Rs 1,123.95 and a low of Rs 1,062 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 1,469.50 on 16 January 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 541.40 on 25 May 2017.
The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 8.75 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores said that manganese ore annual production in mining lease No.2679 has been increased from 7,400 to 32,000 tonnes as approved on 23 March 2018 by Central Empowered Committee constituted by the Supreme Court.
Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores' net profit jumped 123.88% to Rs 20.53 crore on 55.63% rise in net sales to Rs 152.33 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.
